Claire Benteyn joined Southern Aerospace and Telecom Consulting (Satconsult) as a Project manager in November 2021.
Prior to joining Satconsult, Claire was working for Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace (KDA) in Norway as a Project engineer with a specialization in Mechanics. She was notably involved in the modelization and design of satellite parts on various softwares.
Before starting at KDA, Claire was involved in the European REVOLVE project for the H2020 as a PhD fellow for a joint degree between Heriot Watt University and INSA Rennes. This involves several entities such as Thales Alenia Space (Toulouse, France), Large Space Structures (Eching, Germany), Institut d’Electronique et des Technologies du NuméRique (Rennes, France), National Institute of Applied Sciences (Rennes, France), Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh, Scotland). She was working on a Reconfigurable reflectarray antenna with flexible ground plane and collaborate with the consortium to develop the concept, design a prototype and measure it. In 2021, she became a doctor in Electronics and Physical Science.
Claire holds an Advanced master in Space System Engineering and a certificate of Earth Observation applications from ISAE-SUPAERO. She is graduates from Ecole Polytechnique Feminine Sceaux as a Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in Aeronautics and Space.
